Richard B. Boyle, O.D.
Richard B. Boyle, O.D., or "Rick" as he likes his patients to call him, has been an optometrist in Petaluma since 1975. He graduated from Lowell High School in San Francisco in 1967, and did his undergraduate studies at U.C. Berkeley, graduating in 1971. He then attended an optometry doctoral program for four years at U.C. Berkeley, graduating with honors in 1975.
Rick settled in Petaluma and has practiced optometry here since 1975. He has had the pleasure of raising two sons, Dan and Chris, and has enjoyed being very active with his wife Judi's sons, Alex and Justin.
Judi is a retired teacher whose career spanned twenty-nine years in the Petaluma School District. Rick is extremely fond of his family which also includes his German Shepherd, Hallie, and Lab/Britney mix, Rudy.
Rick is an avid runner and hiker and has a passion for sailing on San Francisco Bay. He loves to garden and frequently can be found working on old cars (Morgans in particular), and doing various projects around the house.
He has been a member of the American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association, and the Redwood Empire Optometric Society. Rick served twenty-one years as a board member of the Petaluma Boys and Girls Club, and is currently very active in providing eye care to underprivileged children in our community.
